The Hostgator Hatchling plan is their entry level service for individuals or companies that only require hosting for one domain.

Well, as I mentioned, you get to host one site only. If you need to host more than one domain with Hostgator then you should check out their Baby or Business plan instead.

I’ve used the Hatchling plan for quite some time when I first started creating websites and it is pretty impressive I must admit. The overall service through Hostgator is fantastic regardless of which package you choose but I found the only limitation with Hatchling is that it doesn’t allow you to have more than one domain.

Once my business online expanded and I was looking to create and acquire new online properties, I outgrew the Hatchling plan really quickly.

This is the perfect package for a first time site owner or blogger who has a great idea and wants to invest fully in that one site. You’ve got a Wordpress installation at the click of a button and unlimited bandwidth and web space to create whatever you want. However, if you’re looking to become a bit of an online entrepreneur, or you’ve got a number of sites you want to host with Hostgator, you’d be much better of investing a bit more into the Baby or Business plans they have.
